Music is becoming a bigger part of Andrew’s life.
Since he last worked in the computer lab, he has continued his time with Garage Band – a project with the TALL Institute – and is now working on singing.
One of his favorite songs is Neil Young’s Heart of Gold. He feels that it broadens his horizons and helps him to see a better day. He found this picture and video of the song
Nate is very busy.
Recently he has started playing Alpha Patrol on his PS3
Glenn really wants to see West Side Story at the Aronoff. He was in a play in elementary school and really enjoyed it. He also thinks that the Aronoff has a good reputation for quality shows.
Glenn spent sometime searching for images and information about the show and using images from the Aronoff created an invitation for his family to join him at the show.
Chip spends a lot of his time on the computer. He used to have a great program on his computer that would record songs and TV Shows and then after work he would come home and listen to them.
There are many things that Chip has found to do online. After first registering for the Publisher’s Clearing House sweeps stake, Chip talked about all the arcade games, card games, songs and movies that he finds online. He really likes to play arcade games, especially tank games. He also likes Majong, Solitare and black jack.
When he’s not online, Chip likes to watch TV Land. His favorite show is MASH. He tried searching for a video of MASH to put in this blog, but the song Monster Mash kept coming up. He did find this picture from the show.
When asked if there was one thing in the world that he would like to change David Lawrence replied,
“I think minimum wage should be closer to ten dollars. I think it would make a huge difference!”
He then found this image to support his thought.
Andrew is a very busy guy. Last Monday he went to Melodic Connections with his Garage Band group and he worked on playing the guitar. He said that they’ve helped him with the snare drum, the keyboard and the guitar, but the guitar is his favorite. After searching through pictures of guitars, he said that this one was his favorite.
This week, David Tirado has been thinking about plants and new life.
The recent tornadoes in Alabama and the media coverage of the destruction brought back memories for David. Being from Puerto Rico and still taking numerous trips there, David knows a lot about hurricanes and the damage that they can cause. He talked about staring out the windows and seeing the waves and the winds. The recent tornadoes also reminded him of the damage from Hurricane Katrina and how these kinds of storms leave people with nothing. His family gives a lot of stuff to people who don’t have any and so when asked about what was on his mind this week, he said, “New Life.”
He said that when he thought about areas with no power, he also thought about areas with no plants. So to contrast the images of the destruction, he found these images of “New Life.”
